Christopher Farrel

These two expressive views of the Docklands area are by Londoner artist Christopher Farrell - typical of his production, which favours cityscapes of the Capital as a contemporary evolution of the Old Masters, Canaletto being one of the most influential legacies over his practice.

Christopher is a post-graduate at the Royal Academy Arts and won the Hunting Art Prize in 1997, an achievement that granted him the honour to meet Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace.

Aside from the more traditional techniques of painting, Christopher Farrell loves to experiment with Digital Media, and combine Photoshop created images with classic mediums such as oils, acrylics, silverpoint, pencil, chalks and gold point. Renewing the rendition of those cityscapes in sync with the never-ending evolution of those metropolitan panoramas themselves.
