Fine Sale Auction Highlights

After much anticipation and preparation for our Fine Sale, the 5th of September has now passed, but the excitement of our busy sale lingers at Lots Road Auctions. For the first time in what seems a long time, our salerooms experienced a nostalgic bustle and a large number of keen bidders and spectators arrived for the lengthy and pleasantly hectic sale. The sale was a triumph, with some special lots reaching high figures, such as a Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal Bronze sculpture titled Circe which reached £80,000 and generated international interest. Please visit our blog for more information on the artist by clicking on this link.

Among an array of successful lots and interest, some particular highlights of the sale included paintings by Edward Wolfe, John Pawle and Edwin John Ellis, as well as some beautiful decorative furnishings such as a Syrian Commode inlaid with mother of pearl and a Secretaire a Abattant. Aside from the more expensive lots, there was a variety of affordable home furnishings and decorative items for a fraction of its retail price. Whether you were searching for rare artworks or affordable home furnishings, there really was something for everyone.
