Elias Jengo is a Tanzanian artist. His work features ‘semi-abstract’ figurative scenes in selective palettes, focusing on themes from women’s liberation and the pollution of our natural environment. He is also beloved for his generosity. His studio is always open to young students, where he shares his experience and advises on both art and life as well as giving access to his large collection of art books and exhibition catalogues.
